i noticed that watchtower has sum of the same chords as song that jane likes and doing decent with that too

*Sighs nostagically as he remembers what it was like starting off*
Just stick with it, you might think you're ever going to get a song and then all of the sudden everything just clicks. It's a great feeling when you master a song and can play it along with dave to a T.
There's great resources here too and people are usually willing to help. Check out some of the videos that have been posted by the various board members.
