What the hell is this?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I think it's Dave. Lack of crowd noise is not convincing enough.

We all know how loud the crowd gets during Dave solo and D&T shows even when new material is being played. During the guitar work, there isn't a peep out of the crowd. And then the crowd comes back in at the 50 sec mark. Another reason is that the guitar almost sounds DSBD but at the very end when Dave talks, the recording sounds like an AUD recording. In the beginning when the crowd cheers, the crowd is definately AUD but an AUD recording would not have captured that guitar so upclose while keeping the crowd noise in the back of the mix. I think this is someone with a basic wave editor combined their own guitar work and the crowd and Dave.
This sounds probable...
What made me a bit suspicious at first was that I thought it was an alterned way of the satellite riff, however it is in a different key, namely half a step higher, isn't it?
secondly, it stands so alone with nothing directly preceding or following that it seems somewhat weird
thirdly, would dave really say "thank you" after such a thingy?
finally, does he normally mess around for quite a long time with some riff that does not belong to one of his songs? he selom does, so...

my buddy is still convinced that it's dave, though I have my doubts.

never trust downloaded stuff!

to me there is nothing that suggests that this is dave at all... it could be anyone IMO... i mean dave usually says somthing out there, not just "thank you." its hard to even hear the voice at the end... also how many times have you downloaded somthing that said it was dave and was totaly not.... unless someone actually finds somthing to suggest this is dave, ill have to go along with the other who dont beleive it him

If you want another reason why it is fake turn up your volume and listen to the sound lapse in between seconds 12 and 13. its very brief but its def a fake. but i must admit it is a nice little riff. but whoever made this up mad props but you're not that slick!
