Ever seen Dave dropping his guitar pick?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Speaking of picks and Christmas Song...

As most of us who play know, Dave likes to hold his pick in the palm of his hand while finger-picking, sometimes switching back and forth (e.g Jimi/41- Listener Supported)

Well here's something for you all to try: I think that in the beginning of Christmas Song on Luther College, he has the pick in his palm, realizes he doesn't need it for the song, and drops it. I think the mic picks it up, and you hear it. Give it a try and tell me what you think.

yep, that's it. Turn it up loud, I think that sound you hear is him purposely dropping his pick.

thanks...

I was actually tuned into it when I saw DMB during the fall tour here in Philly a couple years ago. Naturally he played CS in the encore, and I saw him drop his pick on the big screens. So I just put the two together.

I know in Waste, Dave finger picks it, but in the pause right before the chorus, he grabs a pick off the mic stand just for the chorus.

I'm not sure that's a pick dropping noise, because i hear it twice. (Listen with headphones). Once right before "A surprise on the way" and then again after "Baby boy".

Dunno if anyone's heard D&T 1999-03-12 but Dave screws up big time on #41 and then spends about 5 minutes analyzing his mistake :)

I tried to send it. It got returned b/c it would 'exceed mgrya@dccnet.com quota'. The problem might be on my side as well. I guess I can try IM but last time I tried, couple months ago, my firewall did me wrong.

My e-mail will definitely accept large e-mails...if you would send that song to me, I would greatly appreciate it...it's 5adanie@episcopalhighschool.org

Thanks
