mraz you're wrong man. All those "dave chords" are is just broken down barre chords. the 7xx7xx is a broken down Bm, the 5xx6xx is A, 3xx4xx is G, and the 2xx2xx is F#m..

its not an F#m. it is a D chord. think of it more like 2X02. now it sounds more like an D/F#

It could really work either way. If you play an F#m, or a D/F#.

the root for that chord is a D with the F# note held down with it. so its the D/F#.

But it could be played with either chord. They both sound fine.
