[ISO]Raven @ Benaroya Hall Lyrics (10-24-02)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I did the best I could, I think its pretty accurate

What you got what you got in your hand? - a father said to son
I got the whole world here Daddy between my fingers and my thumb well you take care of it please its the only one there is, it will take me a life to remedy what you did...to remedy what you did
Oh come on now boy think what would Jesus do?
He shake his head like an angry mother - spoke the boy and say I did what I could do
But you take care of it please - it's the only one
it will take you a lifetime boy to undo what we done
Boy shrugged walked away
The man stood and watched as he was leaving
Boy just walked away
The man stood there thinking
One hand is bleeding and the other hand holds a gun
everything is okay everything is falling down
No one is home yeah, even if, even if your sure
You never know at all the ground beneath is nothing more than your point of view
What you got what you got in your head your secret is safe with me
Well i found the truth dad want me to whisper in your ear
you take care of it please its the only one there is
oh come on now boy can i twist it please could i give it just a little twist
the boy shrugged and walked away the man stood and watched as he was leaving the boy just walked away the man stood alone thinking
one hand is empty the other hand holds a gun everything is open oh its everything shut down
no one is home yeah even if even if your sure you never know at all and the ground beneath you nothing more than your point of view
(Random Scatting)
The boy just walked away the man stood as he was leaving the man just stood there twisting...

yeah, many differences. I have time to waste, so here are some:

Busted Stuff - no more distortion on the guitar
Grey Street - 3 verses and 4 choruses, and a much longer jam and it gets more intense in the last 2 choruses
Captain - It changed from a slow song about death to a love song and more poppy, plus again 3 verses on LWS, and the bridge was longer
KKJ - had lyrics, and less comotion in the song and a better structure in the LWS.
Raven - Less abstract wording in the BS version, and no more mentions of a Raven. Plus on the BS version, dave only sings 2 verses, the LWS dave sings 3 and only boyd solos.
Ditch - much more mellow and longer
Bartender - really same, just a little longer intro, and the LWS version is just a little longer
BEF - longer, and starts off stronger in the LWS version. The lyrics are basicly the same, but in different orders (and it doesn't segue into Bartender)
Grace Is Gone - much more depressing, and the rythm dave picks to is a little different and wierd

Plus no WAYG or YNK on the LWS.
Yes, I am in a box

The reasons why I like the LWS vs. of Raven better is because of Dave's singing and lyrics. It's much more raw and quite emotional.
