specific playing style question

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

For the most part that's true but there are times when he makes things harder for no apparent reason.
I disagree. Usually the things he does that people consider harder is just because that seems like how he's used to playing guitar. Anything that there is an easier way, he probably just felt more comfortable playing it the way he did
I knew I should have clarified more because someone would contradict me. Yes he's playing the way HE feels comfortable but logistically it's not the best way to do it.
example? i can only think of granny...what else?
there are a lot that you can play chords that are much easier to play then what dave actually plays(as in different voicings), so I agree with him there

The "I think the world of you..." part in Rapunzel, he slides on E with his ring and most people would find that chord uncomfortable. Or the breakdown in Everyday... It's fingered weird and my friend can't even do it, it's too awkward for him. Just some examples...

In other words, he uses his ring where most people would find it easier for the pinky.
