I love that intro. I almost always play that first when I sit down with my guitar.

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I resurrected my old one.

But I tried Recently like 3 months ago and couldn't hit it at. I had no idea what I was doing. But last night, it came on randomly, and I said, how does that go again?

5 minutes later, I can play it easily, love that feeling.

Yeah, that's a totally sweet feeling. And the best part is the more you play the more shit starts clicking so you get the feeling more and more. That's what keeps me going.
That and knowing that if I leave a song I'm having trouble with alone for a couple of weeks I might unknowingly pick something up, and when I go back to it I'll be like: "What was so damn hard about that, again?" Great feeling.

Great song. Just remembered I know hot play that and haven't touched it for a few months. Am I the only one who fogets songs they learn?

I typically forget I know a song within a week of learning it. I've been playing for several years now, and I know a fair share of popular songs...but when someone asks me to play something I can never think of anything.

Sorry, off topic, but mbgreen, I just noticed your sig and that's fuckin' hilarious. I think you tend to meet them 'cause most women only possess 2 of those 3 qualities. Sorry ladies, it's true.

I have a list of 61 DMB songs I can play just by someone asking. Not to brag, but I have a very easily imprinted memory.

Yep, it just all of a sudden clicked with me about a month after I tried learning it.

Its cause they're so damn fun to play. Thats why we're all here.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I find that most DMB guitar fans can play a little of a lot of songs, but very few can actually sing and play many songs start to finish, intro to jam. Like you can play the main riffs, but you can't put it all together. Not to say that you can't, I'm just saying. . .

I can play most all songs through while singing and end them correctly.

Not just the main riffs...

I know what you mean about parts of songs. Most of the songs I know I can play all the way through if I actually intended to learn them. But Warehouse, for example. I can play the verse- I just listened to it and figured it out in a couple minutes. But I never bothered to learn the rest of the song.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
