#41 Question

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

First, I have a crappy guitar on the strings are so damn high off the fret board that it would kill my hands

Second, while you are playing the same the way I do, you can learn the song and become comfortable with it while every so often you try to make that stretch

I have tried for months, I just can't get that stretch, so I have to make do with what I have
i am most definitely not calling you or me lazy. you're right, the stretch is hard as hell. i've been trying for months. i just tried out the simplified chord you gave me, and it seems to sound fine for now. i will just have to keep practicing the stretch and go from there.

thanks for the tip, though!

oh its cool

I just didn't want you to think it was a bad way to play it

one more thing, you have to play it a bit slower when you are picking it since you are taking out the 2 from the 5325

but yea everyone seems to really like it

totally understood, bro. i have problems playing tabs like that, like two step. the fingering on dmbtabs is definitely right, but i can't play it very well. i can reach it, but my fat fingers tend to mute wrong strings, so i play the chords as triplets. this version of #41 sounds fine, you know, for now. i mean c'mon... i've only been playing since may. i give myself credoit for getting THIS far.

oh well it will defintely come

the problem I had when I was learning to play was that I would always screw up the G chord, I would mute it and I couldn't get it, but it came so we know how you feel

keep it up bro
