Guitar Pick or Finger Pick

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

dmfollower wrote:ranting, that is a great point for me in the discussion that we haven't had yet. you must use a pick for certain songs if you want to match the sound perfectly. fingerpicking/no pick is an amazing skill but you can't fingerpick everything, especially dave!
I can play most every dmb song without a pick, and they sound fine. The stone took quite some time, but I now can play it and have it sound right without a pick. I play every dmb song without a pick. IM me, I'll show you that it can be done. I just have done it from the start, so I can do it easily. It is possible for anyone to do it, I think, it just takes time and no picks. I admit that when you are doing these huge high fast solos, it won't sound the same at all without a pick, but I don't do solos I am a rythm and fingerpick guitarist, I have no desire to play leads or solos.

But yeah, dmb songs sound just fine without a pick. Again, IM me, I'll show you.
