how sad is it that somebody would actually want to post on a message board saying "I'm Dave Matthews" Personally I don't want to be dave and If you were Dave I still wouldn't care cause in the end your still just flesh and bones. I guess someone isn't happy being themselves and should go find the nearest bridge.

I totally disagree with you about caring if it's Dave. Here's why:wayward_blue wrote:how sad is it that somebody would actually want to post on a message board saying "I'm Dave Matthews" Personally I don't want to be dave and If you were Dave I still wouldn't care cause in the end your still just flesh and bones. Curt Schilling regularly posts on the SonofSamHorn message board. For those that like baseball it is a great way to get inside the world of baseball and professional athletics. It's also just cool as hell that someone that famous and that busy takes the time to interact with his fans that way. And believe me, the Red Sox fans LOVE him for it.
I love playing the guitar ... I really like Dave's work. Why would I NOT be excited about talking to the guy about what it's like to play in front of 100k people or what his influences are, etc ...
Do you think people interested in physics would say the same thing as you if they got a chance to communicate with Stephen Hawking on a message board? I think they'd jump at a chance.
Just my two cents.

I don't see how just because someone famous posts here that it would help me "get inside the world" of that person or even care. What makes it cool as hell? The fact that he is famous? or because he took time out of his day to post here? all of us take time out of our days to post here. I think our days are busier than his. My point is that he's just a person with talent. there are plenty of people just like that out there some with a lot more talent that aren't famous or don't want to be famous. just because he is famous doesn't make me pee my pants and jizz all over the place if he posts here sure I wouldn't mind talking guitar with him but I would talk music with anyone. But this is just my way of looking at "famous" people. they are just people that die in the end just like uscharliemike wrote:I totally disagree with you about caring if it's Dave.
