Bluewater

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Bluewater

Unread post by matts420music » Fri Mar 09, 2007 6:54 pm

Alright try and make this quick and to the point. Blue Water lyrics on this site are this...

Walking by the river's edge
Reach my hands to cup the sky
Run down my arms a bitter blue
Turn to red and the gashes grew

The river taste me
I'm so much more than I have ever been
Oh, oh, oh, oh

Take this my arms
Take this my eyes
Take this my mouth
And God it seems to be
Completely true
Oh, oh, oh, oh...yeah

Walking by the river's edge
Reach my hands to cup the sky
While on my arms a bitter blue
Turn to red and the grew

The river taste me
I'm so much more than I have ever been
oh, oh, oh

This is also the only way I have ever heard it played (or at least very similar)....
I was on a different fan site and someone posted this as the lyrics....

Walking by the river, I
Reach my hands to cup the sky
Run down my arms a bitter blue
Turn to red and the gashes grew

So the river tastes me
I am so much more than I have ever been
Oh, oh

Take this my arms
Take this my eyes
And this my mouth
And all it says to be
Completely true
My lies included
My lies included

With cocaine footprints on the table
My head hurts me bad
Oh and with lipsticks on the cigarrette butts
But who will know who this may be
But I can't remember any of the faces
That kept me up kept me up disgracing you

Walking by the river, I
Reach my hands to cup the sky
Run down my arms a bitter blue
Turn to red and the gashes grew

Just wondering if anyone has heard this version has it or knows where I can find it??? IF NOT, if someone could put the chord progression on the bottom two sets of lyrics? I WOULD APPRECIATE VERY MUCH!!!
***(Sorry about such the large post, I figured both sets of lyrics in the post would make it easier)

The second set of lyrics are from the 3.31.03 show with Tim. I'm sure somebody has that version.

I can't see it, those two songs seem a lot different to me lyrically and musically, but I could be really wrong, depends on how you view the songs i guess.

Only the one verse, I forgot to say that. It's the one Take this my arms, take this my, etc. Grace is Gone has that same sort of lyrics in it.

I can see what you're talking about. "... I need them no more, if never again they fall upon the one I so adore...". I don't think he got those lyrics for Grace from Blue Water, though.
