Seeing that they're all 8th notes (except the slide parts), and you downstroke on the 8th notes, YES. They are all downstrokes.

I learned satellite first, and satellite really helped my finger stretching, so now tripping billies isnt bad at all. I think the hardest part of the verse is the last part of the riff when you have to stretch again, i still have trouble getting that part down. It will come with practice though.

I don't know how much it helps but it is a lot easier, more efficient and faster when you play the C on the 5th string.
