IMO "She Says" and "Morning After" by Howie Day are awesome songs for solo acoustic open mic type settings....or "How Bizarre" by OMC.....delicious

i second the dispatch, girls love the general if dispatch is pretty popular, hootie is the shit, and howie day rules so good luck man, oh yeh also lie in our graves is awesome if you strum it hard and loud, but yeh playign something that noone else does is somethign cool like, livin on a prayer, dead or alive, both by bon jovi, or van morrison, james taylor, jaosn mraz if you can sing, stone temple pilots, umm whatever floats your boat man, those seem to go really well for me, all depends on where your playing....if your playign at a coffe house then keep it down but interesting, however if you are at a bar....get the crowd into it somehow, thats where bon jovi, or hah i have a line 6 dl-4 and i do vanilla ice, the drinkers will go nuts, just get the crowd into it, goodluck man post and tell us how it goes or went

At certain parts it's Em, and others it's major.

As for Beatles...Blackbird is beautiful if you're at a coffeehouse setting. Stay or Leave is good. Simon (and Garfunkel)-wise, I'd say Me and Julio, Only Living Boy in New York, and So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright. But that's only if you can fingerpick and have a good sense of simplicity, if you know what I mean. Then again, those three songs don't even require fingerpicking. But you get the idea.

So, in your quote are you referring to that Pittman, or Jpittman, the moderator?

exactly what was on my mind... if you could work out a good, rich counterpoint arrangement for this song it'll sound unbelievable.
