dave w/ electric guitar

ive noticed that in most(if not all) of daves songs when he uses electric guitar it is in baritone tuning. Can u tune a regular electric to baritone tuning because the 6th string then would be a B and that seems like a big drop

It is a big drop. I've tuned down a guitar to baritone, but I don't really suggest it. It wasn't my brightest idea. Most of the time its not too hard to convert the songs he plays to standard tuning anyway, so you really shouldn't worry about it too much.

there should be tabs in both tunings,

my accoustic holds its own droped down but you need a pretty good axe to handle it.

maby should buy a real one

Contrary to popular belief its not bad to all your strings detuned, I mean you may get some floppy buzz, but it doesn't do any damage to the guitar. On the Taylor guitar website they say if your going to store your guitar for a long time to actually take all the strings off of it.

Do it up.. i did it to one of m guitars and it works wonders.. no problems, you just can't ram on the strings cause the tension is a lil more the standard tuning so the strings may snap.. but other than that it works good.
