Key for Louisiana Bayou

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Key for Louisiana Bayou

Unread post by SaxMan123 » Fri Dec 08, 2006 10:13 pm

Anyone know what key Louisiana Bayou is in and what the changes would be, I want to make a cover of this song but I kinda need to know some things for writing a solo section.

Sorry, I can't help you with they key. Here's a tab that I have where I took the single notes and put them into chords. It sounds a lot fuller. Just strum and add mutes to make it sound full. Not sure exactly what you were looking for, but figured I'd put this up anyway.

Code: Select all

Verse:
E---------------------------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------------------------
G---------------------------------------------------------------------
D---------------------------------------------------------------------
A-------7-7---5---4-------4h5-----------------------------------------
E-------5-5---5---5---5---5-------------------------------------------

Breakdown:
E------------------------------------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------------------------------------
G------------------------------------------------------------------------
D------------------------------------------------------------------------
A-------7-7-----5-----4--------------------------------------------------
E-------5-5-----5-----5--------------------------------------------------

Jam:
E---------------------------------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------------------------------
G-------5---------------------7-----------------------------------------------
D-------5---------------------7-----------------------------------------------
A---------------------------------------------------------------------------
E------------5-5-5-5-5-5------7--------------------------------------

My guitars:
Taylor 714
Taylor 614ce
Martin Sigma DR-41
Epiphone Chet Atkins SST (Ebony)
Danelectro 56-U2 reissue
Fender American Deluxe Strat
Fender Aerodyne Telecaster
BC Rich Eagle Custom

Yea I have the tab for it. A major sounds right though, since the main chord is an A5 powerchord on the guitar.
