Unread post by violenticecream88 » Thu Nov 09, 2006 1:19 pm

yo, the 3rd note of the intro, its the G that he plays on the 5th fret, does anyone just hit the open G? i do. my fingers are fat and slow, so any short cuts are great.

I never had trouble with it so I just play it the way he does. I usually feel that open strings in a picking pattern like this muddle the sound a bit.

I learned to play OSWI daves way and then one day just started using the open G. Now i just switch back and forth for practice. This is a great warmer upper song for me.
