Dave's Jewish Mother Performance

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Dave's Jewish Mother Performance

Unread post by jebro » Wed Sep 06, 2006 7:35 pm

During the show in 1996 when Dave got up on stage during the Agents of Good Roots intermission he played a few songs, and on of them was Recently. On that track, after the song is over, Dave messes around with a few chords around the 5:29 mark. These sound really, really familiar. Can anyone tell me what song this is??

Thanks!

JESS

Ok so i found it and i've been working on this for hours now. I think its the intro to "Mothers Night". But only the a few notes of it. Could be an Agents of Good Roots Tune though. I don't think anyone will ever know man.
Thanks for the question though cause it drove me to find my recording of it which turned out to be filed in the wrong place :P

So i'm totally hijacking this thread now.....

Does anyone else think that the Mothers Night guitar lick may have transformed into I Did It?

Okay i'm out. Gotta go to work.

Can you post the clip? I'd be happy to give it a listen.

It does sound close to Mother's Night...but not exactly the song I was thinking of. Thanks for the help though. I may never know.

FYI: Jewish Mother was the venue that Dave played at that night.

Ok, I was listening to iTunes tonight and the song that he was fiddling with, eventhough it was for 2 seconds, was Once On A Wild Afternoon.
