can anyone explain the strumming pattern for this song? its seems so simple but I'm having problems with it. thanks

I think someone did some audio or video help for this song in another post. I can't remember when or what post but do a search and you might find something.

i have an excellent D&T version of this song in which the strumming pattern is very clear, and more easliy heard than full band/studio versions. unfortunately im outta town for the weekend but ill post it when i get home on sunday.

yeah ive had toruble picking it out on the versions ive heard... so that would be awsome, as of now i just paly it like pay for what you get, with the mutes and stuff... it works

Yeah, I'm having the same problems, i love the song but can't seem to be able to play it correctly.

This can be a difficult song for some. It is in 2/4 time and has a lot of syncopated rhythms. What's probably throwing you off is he plays sometimes on the offbeat(syncopation). So if you imagine your foot tapping, when it taps down sometimes their is a rest and when it is coming up is when the note/chord is played. There are some measures(next sequence of counting) that begins with a rest or pitch tied from the previous measure so nothing is actually being played.
