so damn lucky on snl
the snl show made me massively excited for the allstate show decmeber 22. they rocked it out, dave sounded really good i thought, and his screaming and dancing at the end of save me was awesome. i like that song so much more now seeing it live by the some devil crew. they were having a lot of fun up there, really cool to see
Sing and dance I'll play for you tonight and thrill at it all. Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes but I'll work it out...

you'll be able to play it, trust me, just sit down and work for a little while on the rhythm...as for as recording it, go here and download it, it's a good video...http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/showt ... adid=82842Dancing Ants wrote:i wish i'd recorded it. it was during the intro..i remember it vividly because of the way he was hitting the strings with his left hand, and i was thinking..."i'll *never* be able to play that!"
B+P by offer only...thank you

ok, in my post, I explained it. Though, it seems like no one saw what I wrote. Now, again with even more description.
Off the two known live video recordings before SNL were from the Launch.com site and the MTV special. He played them exactly the same there. All the fingerings were the same. SNL, there was one difference, only one, I watched closely. The difference was he played the E and Em higher on the neck. I can't tell exactly where, because when he would play it, they would zoom in, and you couldn't see his fingers, but they went up the neck. There were no other differences.
Now, the only Save Me I know of before SNL was at the MTV special. There again was little change. During the verse Dave played the G chord as an octive. Then, when he Jammed at the end, he didn't use an open G chord, he played only the 4 bottom strings, like he does with the F chord.
So, here is it summed up
SDL - only the E and Em chord was different in the SNL performance
Save Me - the G chords
There you go.
