Say Goodbye Help
Say Goodbye Help
Hey, for Say Goodbye, I was just wondering what chords Dave is playing during the part "tomorrow we go back to being friends, but tonight we be lovers, lovers, love yeaaaa, just for tonight, it's one night..."
I can't figure out what he's playing during that part, unless I'm missing it in the tabs that were posted on the site. Thanks for the help!

D:---4-----x-----2-- <---2on2

It's actually this chord that you play twice as long. He switches to the other two chords upon saying "...Goodbyyyyyyyyyyye" then goes back to the chord below.
Code: Select all
"Say Goodbye..."
E:-------
B:---0-- <---3on2
G:---2--
D:---2-- <---2on2
A:-------
E:-------

Let's say chord @ is the G, Chord ! is the D/F# and chord % is the A.
%----------------------------@------------------------! -----------%
And tomorrow back to being friends, but tonight...we're lovers...
%----------------------@------------ ! ------------------%
Looovers....love yyyouuuuuuuuuuuuu hey hey hey
%----------------------@------------%(if you want: single strum)
Tonight....love youuuuu yeah....
Then play the same and do the "say goooooodbyeeeee" part, that's easier to figure though. I don't know if that's 100% accurate, but that's how I play it and sounds ok.

Do (C) Re (D) Mi(E) Fa(F) Sol(G) La(A) Si(B)
But the english nomenclature (ie: A, D, C) is very used too specially when tabs are writen, when spoken you call them like above.
And I ASSUME it's the same in Iitallian...

Do re mi fa so ... is the Solfege system. It's just a way of assigning universal syllabic representation to a note. Most people learn it when singing. I don't think it's the actual name of the chords in any language. I think any language using the Latin alphabet uses the same "chord names" (being A-G, any modifiers vary by language).
Edit: Fede, are you saying that in Spanish people call the C chord "Do"? I've never heard anyone around here do it that way, but that may just be due to proximity to the US.
