Typical Situation fingering

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Typical Situation fingering

Unread post by HotBacon » Mon Nov 10, 2003 2:25 pm

Can anyone give me the fingerings (that Dave uses) for the chords in the chorus of TS? I tried to use the "finger charts", but got annoyed trying to figure it all out.

Chorus
See finger chart for this section
Chorus
See finger chart for this section
E--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------------1-----1--
G-0h2--2---0h2---2---0h2---2---0h2--2----0h2--2----0h2--2----x-----2--
D-0-----0---0-----0----0-----0---0-----0----2-----2----2-----2----2-----x--
A-x-----x---x-----x----x-----x---x-----x----0-----0----0-----0----3-----3--
E-3-----3---3-----3----1-----1---1-----1--------------------------------------

The first chord I use 3 on the bass (low E) and 2 on the G...2nd 1 on low E, 2 on G......3rd 1 on D and 2 on G...and fourth 1 on B, 2 on D, and 3 on A...then last part just move 2 down to B.....For the hammers just use the finger listed for that string...
