So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

It's a joke. I always throw those two on a list of easy songs to mess with the noobs.

i know you do not want to start off with The Stone or Tripping Billies, those two songs are incredibly hard to play, even if you don't play them like Dave does, The Stone especially is hard, go to you tube and check out the video of Dave playing it solo and you'll see what I mean
Simpler Dave Songs:
Proudest Monkey
Ants Marching
Halloween
Bartender
Big Eyed Fish
The Space Between

"Best" song: Grey Street or Gravedigger, if you want it to sound correct quickly; The Stone, if you just want to drive yourself nuts; Billies - Verse or Warehouse, if you want a challenge you can overcome in a week or so.
But I'd go with any song that you really like the guitar part.
Good Luck

Just without the intro and the little run at the end into Rapunzul. You probably heard it after Jimi from Live at Luther. Its in the tab index.

It's a very common segue.
