Grey Street fills (the lyrics)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Grey Street fills (the lyrics)

Unread post by Sugar Will » Sun May 21, 2006 3:17 am

Can anyone tab out the notes for Dave's singing on Grey Street? I like playing it winter 2000 style when I record. A little slowed down, and more room for fills...

-thanks in advance

what?

I just want the single notes that are the lyrics....I don't know what's so far fetched about that.

I still dont know what the hell you are talking about, even after that bitchy attitude. He plays the same exact thing as the "intro." The only thing that is different is the chorus. There are no single notes in Grey Street.

I think he might realize that dave doesn't play them. What he may want is for somebody to tab out the individual notes that dave sings, so maybe he can do something like an all instrumental version or something. I sure as hell couldn't do it though.

Edit: Haha you beat me to it Mikey

thaaaank you.

FOR EXAMPLE:

Oh go is admitting
He says take what you can from your dreams
Make them real as anything
It takes the work out of the courage
She said, "Please
There's a crazy man standing outside my door
I live on the corner of a dead end street
And the end of the world"

I'm sure Pat M. could tab that verse out in a jiffy, and a lot more people here. Whenever anyone has some time on their hands and you want to take a stab at it....I'd be most appreciative. I don't mean to sound like a bastard here, (for the mod that was getting aggrivated with me) I was just surprised nobody knew what I mean't in the first place. Oh well..

Does anyone have a good version of this song they wouldn't mind sharing (or with a similar verse)? I realize this isn't the place to specifically ask for songs, but I figured it's a least partially on topic.... :D

I won't be home until late tonight, but here's some dates. I'm sure somebody could hook some of them up for you. Go to antsmarching.org --> dmbc forum --> find the "audio downloads thread" and request them there too if you want.

summer 2000 fav's: 6-20-00 (which is the verse I have in this thread by the way) 7-19-00 9-4-00 *w/Bela 9-15-00

summer 2001 fav's: 7-7-01 7-30-01 8-28-01

2002-present date: Unfortunately this is when the standard still solid version I might add fell into place. Their all very similar give or take. What I would give to see them slow it down a tad like 2001 this summer....not a chance.
