usually when you're playing the open e-string, you hit some 12th fret harmonics with your pinky, then when you play the 8th fret e-string, you hit some 7th fret harmonics with your index (the finger fretting the 8 ). that's how i do it anyways, sounds pretty good. so the tab would look something like this:
Code: Select all
E:----------<12>------- E:----------<7>--------
B:----------<12.------- B:----------<7>--------
G:----------<12>------- G:----------<7>--------
D:----9------9------9-- x2 then D:----9------9------9-- x2
A:-------10-----10----- A:-------10-----10-----
E:-0------------------- E:-8-------------------

i just remembered that when i play with friends, you could do this over top of the normal one and it sounds good:
Code: Select all
E:------------------------ E:------------------------
B:----<12>----<12>----<12> B:----<12>----<12>----<12>
G:--------<12>----<12>---- G:--------<12>----<12>----
D:------------------------ x2 then D:------------------------
A:------------------------ A:------------------------
E:-<12>------------------- E:-<7>--------------------

this is timmys intro solo from live at luther college. some of it might be wrong, i dont have my guitar with me to look at. ill post any corrections later once i get it back... anyway, you start the solo just before the rhythm cycles again. if you have any questions, feel free to ask. otherwise, just listen to the l@lc and play along with it, timing is really straightfoward. this may not be the exact tab but it sounds good.
