Warehouse

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Warehouse

Unread post by Bedurndurn » Fri Oct 24, 2003 11:05 am

So I'm trying to play warehouse, and I've got a couple of different tries for the main riff of the song. Could somebody take a listen and tell me which is closest to right?

the first one is closest i think...pull out the L@LC and play with it...you'll get it in no time...adjust the volume to where the level is loud enough to play with but at the same time not to loud to drown out your guitar playing...sounds like you need to work on the muting a little bit...but playing with the cd will help that in no time, it sounds like you'd be able to make the adjustments pretty quickly

The first riff is the closest...the rest are off a bit. As tjmac was sayin, you just need to get the muting a little better, so you can play it with some "oomph."

Thanks guys. Okay, I busted out the metronome and fiddled again and I'm like 90% sure I absolutely nailed it, muting and all. Problem is that it's at about 3/4 speed, so now I just have to practice it up so I can hit the mutes and everything right at full 112 bpm.

the first. but don't carry on with the muted strumming during the stops. that just sounds funny. then again if you were singing during those parts. i always stop for those pauses instead of muting the strings there like that.

The first - although... the third one did have a nice little funk to it. If there was ever a Porn flick based on warehouse - that'd be the main theme. Nice job though chief, keep at it.
