Help With Christmas Song.....

I can play the first part of christmas song, but I am having trouble understanding jkanter's tab. can anyone give me some tips on how i should play the rest of the song i posted below. i dont understand what he means by using the thumb. and also how the G, A, and Bm chords are used. thanks a lot.

It's all finger picked. Don't use a regular guitar pick. He's just telling you which fingers to use to play it.

I use my thumb on my left hand(fret hand) to fret the 6th string 3rd fret and fifth string 2nd fret just like the tab says and fret the other notes on the 2nd string accordingly....

On the right hand I use my thumb to gently "slap" the 6th string and then quickly pull up on the two string that are tabbed. For example the first part you have your thumb above the 6th string and your 1st finger below the second string and you slap then quickly pull up those two string simotaneously. You should slap after you pull up on each of the notes. Listen tot he song to help. Start out slow, this is pretty easy once you realize finger picking is how this song is played. Hopefully this wasn't two confusing just thought I'd throw my two cents in because its a song I just learned to play.

Ive never heard any version of this song except LLC, but that tab seems to be leaving out some really key parts. If LLC is pretty much the same, let me know and ill put up how I think it should be played.
