Crush on a 12-string?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Crush on a 12-string?

Unread post by PilotC150 » Sun Jan 05, 2003 11:15 pm

Has anybody ever tried it? I think it would sound cool solo since it would fill out the sound.

you could use that same mindframe for any song.......ever. i love the 12-string though, its so fun to play after playing 6 for so long. especially a 12 string with elixers, drool.

yes that would sound very cool. If I only had a brain uhhhhh i mean 12-string  I played a Taylor 12-string at Guitar Center over x-mas break and it was absolutely gorgeous. It played as easy a 6-string and the sound was as warm as....well you know.

peace
good, and you?

no, its not, i bought it from a store called "Daddy's Junky Music". despite the name, their guitars last a long time. the guitar was on sale from i think it was $300, it is still in very good condition, i play it at least 3 times a week

yeah there was a Daddy's Junky Music place next door to where I worked last summer in CT and there were a few junky martins there, however, there was a very nice Gibson Hummingbird which I played and really really wanted. but it was $1799 :(

I had the opportunity to play a custom Martin D-45 twelve string. It was my ex-girlfriend's dad's. Most beautiful guitar i've ever heard/seen. Unfortunately i had to give it back when we broke up...oh well.
