Yup that's exactly what I was talking about ... you can't see in the video cause they don't show dave's fingerings but he plays something different during that ending variation than he normally does. It's a cool little breakdown that was a nice variation from the normal warehouse jams. Thanks EazyE.

Like I said, the video doesn't show dave's fingers but I remember when they went into this different variation of the jam that he was playing something different, because I looked right at his fingers. And that video isn't a real clear representation of it, but it's pretty obvious that it's a different jam

I agree. Dave is not playing anything different....he is just playing the standard:

Code: Select all

E:--------------
B:--------------
G:--------------
D:-9--9--11--9--
A:-x--7--9---7--
E:-7------------
What I hear in that video is the band playing basically a variation of the "salsa jam"....but Dave is just playing the above fingerings.

i disagree with fedelm and taylordb. i think dave is definitely playing along with the alternate jam, which has yet to be tabbed.

here are a couple of warehouses from 05

red rocks 9-9-05
http://s6.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1ISTG ... RL15Z18M46

gorge 8-21-05

i don't have time to play around and try to tab it now unfortunately... but maybe somebody can figure it out

I'm asking you to take my word for it ... I'm 100% positive he does. I watched them play it from the second row. The first thing I looked at was his fingerings. He is not playing what he normally does. We can just end the post ... the point of it was to find out if anybody knew what he was playing, an obviously noone does yet, so we'll just forget it.

taylor2885, i'm agreeing with you and disagreeing with the others. i think dave plays something different than the normal salsa jam.... kind of reminds me a little bit of the typical situation jam they've been doing recently.

Yeah, in the red rocks one you can hear something, more cut, how to say it....some sort of stop in between of the salsa jam. its like:

jam jam jam, stop (few seconds), jam jam (stop) jam jam.

Oh that wasn't to you EasyE ... the other guys. My bad on not being clear on that. Those versions that you just put on are perfect examples of it. Now that I listen to it it's a variation of the salsa jam, and they are different chords. Thanks for your posts EasyE ... I think I actually got it figured out from your versions
