is dave "WRITING" his songs?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

He definitely writes it down. There have been many times that Dave has said that he had to peek at the song because he couldnt remember it.

that, is really sweet. I really like that idea :)

That could make for some awesome freakin songs, if I wrote down what happened in my dreams

i dont think he tabs them, or atleast he didnt used to, or claims to not have, in old songs like heathcliffs or spotlight where he says hes forgotten them. theres a soundcheck from i think 03 where he plays heathcliffs a bit, its kinda hesitant like hes trying to remember as he plays, so it would seem he forgot it... but thats my two cents, that i dont think he has or does tab them. another thought is the old stuff hes played hundreds of times, and the newer isnt exactly tough to learn.

unfortunatly no, cause the stand up tabs arent up yet, and alas they are still being played.

Ok, if you are looking for a complete list of almost ever song Dave has played (at least in the past 8 or 9 years), go to http://www.dmbalmanac.com. It has everything you could possible want to know about all the set-list, and then some.
As for as him writing down tabs to his songs, I don’t think he does. He may become unpracticed, but I am sure he knows the “meat” of all his songs, and form that, he can work out the rest.

Just to clarify, I meant over 40 in regular rotation, ie we're not hearing Heathcliffe's Haiku Warriors very often now. And nice dig by the way.
