Good songs without muting

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Good songs without muting

Unread post by Marching41Step » Thu Jan 02, 2003 11:32 pm

I am not yet too comfortable with muting. Are there any sweet songs that do not require muting skills? I've only been playing for 2 months now.

there are three mute strums after each G/D chord, so probably not ants marching.

Is muting just holding a string down, just not to the fret?

basically, all you have to do is place your fingers on the strings and strum, you don't have to push down at all. it's actually really easy and will come naturally eventually.

Lie in Our Graves doesn't have any muting.... unless I'm playing it wrong.
Crazy/Captain, I don't think, has any muting.
Holloween? Maybe.
