Honestly to my ears, the only guitar that has a distinct sound is the chet. With all the processors and eq's and shit with the band, his sound is basically created post guitar. When he plays solo or D&T doesn't he also have the guitar miked as well as plugged? That could be why you hear a big difference in those shows.

i would have to disagree about its all the same when its coming out of the speakers. if you have every played acoustic, and can play well, you would know that better guitars with higher quality wood combinations will sound better than lesser quality. albeit it does depend on how they are being mic'd and amped and that setup will make a difference. but you can't say that its all the same coming out of the speakers. i have been playing a martin d28 for a little over a year and just bought a taylor 710 and there is a pretty considerable difference between the 2. just my .02

Not possible, thats what i mean when i say its all the same coming out of the speakers...it all sounds fucking great.

Dude, I can tell when it's the 914c and when it's the DM3MD. It's immediately obvious ... The 914c does not have the low-end in it that the DM3MD does.
