he usually plays 9th (i believe) chords when live. he's using D9 and G9, which are x54555 and x 10 9 10 10 10 respectively

D9

5
5
5
4
5
x

G9

10
10
10
9
10
x

just hit the normal D and G chords on the site, then aply around with slides to the above chords.

Whenever I play it I use these fills between the D and G chords.

Code: Select all

-----4/5-----
-----4/5-----
-----4/5-----
-----3/4-----
-----4/5-----
--------------
and then this...

Code: Select all

----12----
----12----
----12----
----11----
----12----
-----------

Soryy if that makes nor sense cos im kinda not sober right now but let me know if it doesnt and ill try to correct myself in the morning.

You're talking about the 9th chords? You can also play them without the bottom note (on the high e string). Sometimes I play 9th chords with all my fingers (w/out barring anything). for example:

-x-
pinky
ring
index
middle
-x-

It's easier for me if you switch the index and middle where you have them. I just my middle on the A string, index on the d and barre the last three with my ring finger.

I just looked at what I posted and didn't notice that I mixed up the index & middle fingers. That's what I meant.
