When playing the verse of DDTW my low D string is vibrating alot....what does dave do to stop this?.....i tried playing closer to the end of the guitar and that helepd a little bit....but i cna never strum loud without getting that same noise

well, it sounds like your guitar has really low action like mine. Mine low E string rattles alot when its in drop d, I just learned to not strum that string quite as hard and it doesnt rattle much. I know that probably doesnt help you out much but practice is probably the only way to stop the rattling without getting your action raised...On a side note if your low E is tuned just right when in drop D then it will rattle more so you might wanna check that out.
