structure, lyrics, and less breaks in the verse progression.. The recording is also a lot faster than satellite. Also, After Her - for Julia Grey, Satellite - Dave's mom (not sure why, but he did write it for her).

I haven't looked into it enough to pick up a meaning either, but it sho' is pleasant on the ears...isn't that what really matters?

I dunno I think its even, Satillite makes no sense. One second hes singing about satillites and then about Summers cold, but I jus always liked the sound of Satilite better so therefore, its a tie! Satillite = After Her

summer's cold, bartender?

anyway, i think it's partially about our reliance on technology, being in control of your own life, and everything happening in cycles. also i think it's about being aware of things happening around you, and that it happens in cycles...hence, the satellite, or the winter's cold, spring erases. bad times occur, but good times will follow, and bad times again.

i don't know. that probably made about as much sense as the song does to ya'll. ;)

Well, here, first of all. The chorus of After Her

Winter's cold, spring erases, and the calm by the storm we're chasing, everything good needs replacing, hope all these changes happen with you.

The chorus of satellite

Winter's cold, spring erases, and the calm by the storm we're chasing, everything good needs replacing, look up look down, all around, satellite.

Dave just liked the chorus to After Her, so he kept those lyrics. That's it, it has nothing to do with the rest of the song It only has meaning in After Her.

Also, satellite is about peeking in, peering into people's secrets, exposing people, and such. So dave chose satellites, since they look down receieve and send information. I still don't know what that has to do with his mom, but I know it was written for her.
