So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

how did you get ahold of an e-mail that was sent to kanter?
well, besides the point
whoever wrote it needs to go to one of the other 4,000,000 dmb tab sites and check out those tabs instead. sure the others are wrong, but hey, he obviously doen't know what the hell he's talking about anyway, so shocka B, don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

if they are wrong then why is it i can watch dave play live and know exactly what his hand will look like on the next chord?
me thinks someone is tone deaf...or is mad because the tabs aren't easy....

i just talked to ranting, he got it off of jared's away message.
anyway, the more i think about this the more intrigued i get. i think whoever wrote this e-mail should post his/her versions of their corrections so that we can see what "correct" is. if they really believe that jared is wrong, then they should be able to back it up w/ some correct tabs. im interested. i wanna see what they came up w/.

there was actually a guy on the Taylor Guitar Forum telling me that dmbtabs.com's tabs were incorrect, and showed me some other site that was "better"...but it was actually pretty stupid...it had Ants Marching with barre chords, stuff like that....correct CHORDS for sure, but very incorrect voicings.

ANTS? BARRE CHORDS? Um, is this guy deaf and blind? He needs to see a video. We need to show him one so since we aren't there with him, he can smack his own head for us.

DMB music books are available for those who don't agree with tabs posted here or anywhere else.. thing is, most of these books are tabbed for the studio album which isn't what Dave plays live with the band or indeed solo. I play alot of his stuff and I'd say the stuff on this site is the best on the net.

and they even host it on best on the net.

or something. there are a lot of different ways to play the songs, but the aim of this site is to show how dave plays it because that's what a lot of people are after. anyway, i laughed out loud when i read it on kanter's away message.
THANK YOU KANTER AND PITTMAN! whooo!

I'd like to join Ranting in his Kudo's to Kanter.
With deepest gratitude Kanter... Thanks.
Thanks for setting an example for all the other tabbers out there, for raising the bar and continuing to do so with every update. I may not have posted much since I first joined here, but I'm always lurking and I continue to be overwhelmingly impressed with the quality and caring put into this site.
Thanks from me and everyone else on this site, whether they've said it before or not.
How 'bout an official "Kudo's to Kanter" thread?

Kudos to Kanter for sure. Not only has this site showed me how to play Dave's music, but in doing so, it's improved my guitar playing a hundred times over. I used to stick to being a bluesy lead man, but this site has done wonders for me playing solo. Keep it up, Kanter.

subotai, you'd be surprised. Such emails are not uncommon.
I'd like to join in with the Kudos to Kanter theme here. I came on this project when he was moving onto the dmbtabs.com domain, but before (when he hosted his site on the UM server), I was just another dude thrilled that somebody had taken the time to tab the music *right*.
So props go out to my man, JK! He's not a bad guy to work with.
