But I personally like Elixers medium-lights.

You're getting ripped off to no end if you pay $25 per pack of strings.SingLike_Dave wrote:He used D'Darrio Mediums.

martin lights, there cheep £7 ($13 ?) for 3 sets from ebay and sound great, very springey , but i say change at least every 2 months, more if you play a lot.
Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

i agree man. i use the martin extra lights, they're about 8 bucks a pack at the shop up here, and i have no complaints. they sound beautiful to me. i know people who buy the elixirs but christ man, $25 a pack just isn't worth it to me. anyway, the guys i know who use them all play electric. i don't know of anyone who's put the elixirs on an acoustic.paulaitchison wrote:martin lights, there cheep £7 ($13 ?) for 3 sets from ebay and sound great, very springey , but i say change at least every 2 months, more if you play a lot.

right now i have d'adrros exp15's, they were pricey in comparison to martins and feel and sound no different , i got them because this site said they were great and that dave only uses them,( i have a clip of me playing with these strings in the WWYS jam vairiations thread if your interested,) IMO they are good but no better than martins.......... i say buy a couple more beers with the savings, you have to be a damn good guitarist before the good Vs very good strings make a difference.
