"Ohio"

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Does anyone have a good tab for this - Tim plays it on 3/29/03 and some other days - its the instrumental version of "Four Dead in Ohio" - thanks!

For actual tabs of the song I would check tabcrawler.com. The main riff of the song is a Dm with walking bass notes around the 3rd and 2nd frets on the A-string. I don't have the guitar in front of me so I can't remember it completely. The chorus is just Gm7 (3-5-3-3-3-3) and C major (of your choice). On top of the basic chord structure Tim, as awesome has he is, plays the vocal melody with a little improvisation.

Also, in case you didn't know, the song he played INTO "Ohio" is called "After The Goldrush". It's another Neil Young oldie but goodie.

Hope I helped!

Yeah, man, I was there! I couldn't believe the setlists early in the tour that were publishing Tim's solo as "After The Goldrush -> Ohio". I was bummed when he didn't play it on 3-28 and then when we busted it out on 3-29 I came close to crapping myself.

In one man's humble opinion: 3-29-03 is a BIG contender for top show of the 2003 acoustic run.

Thanks for the help! I would love to see a tabbed out version of the vocal melody if anyone knows one..... And yeah, 3/29 was sweet....
