i can play this song well and in drop d and in standard tuning...
on the central park dvd it seems like dave isnt playing in in drop d, but i cant figure out what he's playing in this part (he's using his ring finger)

I'm pretty sure his finger is not actually touching the strings. Probably one of them noptical millussions.

It's bent and only hitting the 7th fret. There is no doubt what Dave is playing there regardless of what may be seen. Too many video's have confirmed this...enjoy!
