How do I record my own instruction video clips?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

How do I record my own instruction video clips?

Unread post by davembfan85 » Mon Jul 04, 2005 10:15 pm

I can play the whole way through about 90% of the tabs on this site (minus covers & live songs) and I'd kinda like to record some of my own video clips playing them. Anyone that can recommend some equipment/software to set me on my way?

any digital camera that can record videos, or digital camcorders, or possibly a regular camera if you have some sort of input for it.

If you have a digital camera all you have to do is plug it into your computer and transfer the videos, theres nothing to it.

Well, I don't have a digital video camera... and since i want sound to go along with it, a digital camera won't be working so well. I have a webcam that records at 30fps... I guess I'm looking more for software to record video & sound at the same time maybe?

well, my digital camera records sound, so that works fine for me. I have no idea what to do with a webcam, I would think youd have software that came with the webcam to record stuff, would you not?
