Misc. notes from first row
This is just a couple things I noticed after sitting front row at Deer Creek:
1) On Dave's guitar rack, there are currently no 714's. I don't know if this means that they don't plan on playing YNK or if they are on a different rack, but on his rack are 3 914s 2 W65s and 2 Jerry Jones.
2) Monk restrings Dave's guitar any time he switches guitars out during the set. He's got a little station set up where he just pumps out new strings like clockwork.
Nobody might be interested in this information, but I thought it was interesting.

pretty cool. Ya Dave broke strings two different times when I was up at the Penn State concert last year for vote for change tour. I was wondering if he had like his own pitt crew just for changing strings cuz they came out with a replacement guitar first, but then the guitar with the busted string would be out on the rack in two seconds. I know it's only one string, but it was like lightning fast. That guy must be good...

Exactly the one time I remember. The string broke, he kept on singing, took the guitar off him and unplugged it. While that was happening, Monk with a new guitar, they switched guitars, Dave plugged the new one, put it on and kept on playing.m7d7g7 wrote:during OSW (i think) on the last vote for change tour, the one they played on TV, he broke a string and had to switch mid song. didn't miss a beat.
I didn't know Monk re-stringed Dave's guitars every time he took them out. And Dave still breaks tons of strings
