what strings does dave usually use on his guitar??? i went to one site and it said he used only D'addarios?? also does any one know what gauge?? my guitar strings are too thick and i hate the deep sound!!! daves have just the perfect pitch!! anyone know what gauge he uses?? thanks

yeah the elixer strings are amazing. so easy to play and they have such a bright sound to them

I love elixers.. I can't stand playing non coated, or nano's of elixers(have to poly or i can't play with em) I just need that extra slide for them :)

Dave uses D'addarios, but they've been dipped and coated in a solution comprised of three parts of Carter Beauford sweat, one part boyd's man juice, one part acid, and a sprinkling of weed/dried mushrooms. But really, the tone you're looking for isnt as much his strings as it is his guitar and the amp/settings he uses.
