yeah, that's where he got the LYRICS from, the inspiration comes from the story in "animal farm" so i'm willing to split the bill here and go 50/50

i'm not gonna sit here and argue with you because i know you'll never admit you mighta been wrong, or at least half wrong (like i did).

the LYRICS were inspired by the poem. So the band is LEGALLY obligated to include that citation in the pamphlet or get the shit sued out of them for taking the authors almost exact words and putting them in the song

the SONG is BASED on the concept discussed in the book animal farm. ( Rising up against oppressors vs. sitting idly by )

and i'm not gonna take another picture because i gotta run and shower ( gonna watch analyze that :D ) but the part where i got that from was from a part of the book called "DAVE SPEAKS OUT" where he gives a short quote best describing what each song is about.

that is all

if you weren't so arrogant about everything I would be more willing to not be a prick, but oh well...

Hey folks, is it possible to post an idea without being blasted? I'm hoping this thread is a place for creative thought, not to prove your own vendettas. Yes, it can be hard to accept another's ignorance but everyone's stubborn so ya gotta do it.

Anyway, just wanted to add and expand a bit.

Another theme: "Developed nations are abusive consumers" - Too much, Don't drink the water.

Besides themes, Dave also repeats some metaphors. "I'll drink you up" - JTR, Crush

misinterpretations

Unread post by lordmelt » Mon Dec 09, 2002 6:13 am

i think its funny how some people get so into these dave tunes, i understand how it is, but anyways, how they are about things that some people wouldnt be down with, such as crash, say goodbye, and then you look into tripping billies and jimi thing, some people love them i am sure, but disagree with the message, thats ok, its just kind of funny, whatever floats your boat i guess
