For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

Wow, not one "That song is easy" post in a thread like this? People must be on vacation :)

I can play a lot of songs but they sound like ass most of the time.

Right now, Crush is my favorite one and that "Crazy, I'm thinking ..." part just sounds like a monkey playing guitar with a hammer. :(

I watch Dave's fingers and there's always a purpose to his finger positions ... It's like there's never a wasted digit. If it's not part of the chord it's helping mute a string ... I'm not used to doing that.

Now, when I started last May playing Dave's stuff I sucked ass. Now I just kinda stink. I'm hoping by next year I'm just bad :)

I can sort of do a version of Grace is Gone....but I'll never be able to get a version where I'd be comfortable enough to play for someone. It may be the picking/fingerpicking that's killing me. I usually strum my own variation of it with hammer-ons and stuff. If I could pick it like Dave I would.

Certain songs present more of a challenge of me than others. Playing PFWYG is easy as cake, but timing it with the words has been a challenge I have been too lazy to perfect.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

YKN, I also have trouble making the chorus to Crush sound full, and So Right.

Funny, I sang this one like 4 times today. If you listen to the song enough, you can hear it in your head, the voicings come easily while playing. For me anyways, which might be why I can sing and play most every Dave song I know.
