banjo part in Spoon

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

banjo part in Spoon

Unread post by hopelessposeur » Fri Aug 15, 2003 3:02 pm

I can listen, rewind, then listen again over and over and never get tired of that little 30 second solo in spoon (that Im guessing Bela Fleck does, and just curious, but is it bay-la <as my friend says> or bella <like I think>?).
The question is, has anybody tabbed this out for guitar? I know jack about banjo except that its supposed to be pretty damn hard; for all I know this may have fingerings that on guitar are all but physically impossible, but I know that if Im gonna find it anywhere its gonna be here...

Thanks,

I thought it was "bella." I have never heard it pronounced "bay-la."

it's technically bayla, but even members of his band sometimes mess it up

I'm sure Bella understands. Sometimes it seems like Dave can't pronounce his own name :)

hahaha. It's funny 'cause it's true.

A friend of mine was at that Ottawa show with the 30min #41 jam.
