well, the way i do it (not sure if this is correct, but my knuckle doesnt hit) is i put my index and thumb facing parallel to the fret board with the pick's point facing straight into the strings. Don't konw how much that helped without a picture, but i tried.

LMAO that is WAY off topic and I was like where the fuck did this come from? it's actually pretty interesting though...i might give it a try.somedevil wrote:this may be irrelevant to your question but concerning picks, i found that if you cut your pick to where there is more of a point at the end, it helps amplify the sound as well as helps you pick specific strings

Yea, that may be true, but you could also break strings faster that way, somedevil.. anyway I hold the pic pointing towards the strings, and my other 3 fingers(index and thumb on pic) usually either rest on the guitar, or they just hang down towards the bottom of the body.. seems to work fine for me.. I sometimes move the pic away from the tips of my fingers and just use the nails to play..even though they're really short nails..

Why do you do that? Diff sound?m98ter wrote:I hold mine with my thumb, index, and middle fingers. But to make things even weirder, I dont play with the pointy end of the pick, but rather with the upper curved side of it....not the top curve, but like the side curves near the top...yeah, I'm strange....
