Captain Lyrics

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

When the World Ends-doesn't he say "Your legs don’t work cause you want me so, You just lie spread to the wall" something along those lines.
Sounds like sex to me.

Listen to the Lillywhite version. the lyrics are completly different. that's where kanter got the "roll me back again" and just didn't bother changing it when he copied it for the busted album. Also in my opinion this song is the second most obvious sex song by DMB. the first? When the World Ends. Just listen to the lyrics. I may be mistaken, but those are my top two for right now.
how can this be the second most about sex? i think the first is obviously Say Goodbye, then probably Crash. Crazy might be about sex, but I don't really think the lyrics for Captain support that.
crazy is not at all about sex, and neither is the real captain, it's about self doubt, how on earth do you get sex out of the lyrics to crazy and LWS captain? even the BS captain is about self doubt. they just tacked on some ridiculous lines to total butcher an amazing song for BS. hack hack hack hack...should've been the best song on the album, but no, dave had to go and jack it up.

Crash? Say goodbye? If nothing else these are a little more clear in their sexual references.

Rapunzel is definitely about sex.

Captain (BS) has the "oh my love, how you do me."

When the World Ends has "making love."

WTWE is definitly about sex.
Crazy and Captain have references but i don't think thats the point of the song.
I don't think rapunzel is either, more of a support and love song. (I do, my best, for you)
Say Goodbye is definitly about sex.

2 things GCom, where'd you hear dave say all his songs are about sex in one way or another and also i happen to think Captain is very good so ha!
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves,
dreaming of things we might have been.

it's alright, but the LWS version tears the BS version apart, so much better on LWS

i like BS a tad better because of the quicker tempo... i don't care that much about the lyrics anyway, as long as it has a good melody to go along with it, its all good

The guitar part for Captian/Crazy is probably the most beautiful guitar part of any of his songs.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...
