Contest: How long can you play Crash

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I am only a few months into the guitar and crash is really not that tough of a stretch. The stretches in Sattelite and #41 are much tougher on me.

Just like there are certain songs that belong in a Children's Piano Book, like Mary Had A Little Lamp and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Crash belongs in a Children's Guitar Book.

And like the others said, if you can't play it, don't play jazz.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.

*bragging comment about how easy crash is, how i learned it in 4 seconds, and how i can play it for several months at a time*

He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

i can play crash until i reach the point of agony in my left hand...and that timeframe changes each time i play...i played on a mic at a party in front of like 15 people a few months back...halfway thru the song i started getting 'the cramp' and had to sweat it out thru the rest of the song...i was proud of myself for finishing...but i couldn't play guitar the next day cuz my hand was sore...this is one song where i've had trouble with the amount of stamina needed to play it day in and day out...hopefully it will just come to me one day with continuous practice

An easy song to play yes, but it also depends on your guitar. On mine I can play it for an hour+ but when I get on my brothers probably no more then 15 minutes. It depends alot on your guitar.

I've been playing crash since before Dave has written it. I win, what's the prize to this "contest"?

i get bored after a few minutes of crash. maybe if ur jammin it with a band behind you and you can through in some crazy stuff, but just sitting and playing it forever is just not a whole lot of fun for me.
