Jimi Thing - Listener Supported

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Is there a tab out there for the jam he does towards the end? I've figured some of it out but I wanna get the kinks out.

Yesssssss! I was waiting for someone to ask a question like this. Just a week ago I got that concert on dvd and jammed through the whole bit in front of the TV, foot dance and everything.
the Jimi thing jam is basically just two chords, E and A, played over and over again. Dave begins by playing two or three notes of every possible form of E and A, from barred D positions (7779109 is an barred D position form of A) to barred C positions (476454 is the barred C position of E) to 12th fret high E and A and back. (He does the same during the Two Step jam with Bb, C and Dm). then he uses a little progression (I couldn't see too well, so I just made it up) on the A and low E strings. Let me know if I'm completely full of shit.

Thanks. But jamming that way with other dave songs that you know the chords to can sound really cool. #36, for example, is just F and then C. Bb is the only accidental for both scales, so it is really easy to build on the main riff and then jam away. Recently is more or less G.
Crash is some weird form of Bsus, with different bass notes, of course.
