Tripping Billies-re thought and re learned

Unread post by dmfollower » Fri Jul 25, 2003 4:18 am

so i finally sat down with the verse of this song and actually learned it the real way.....and i like it :D
the way i had taught myself originally was using the basic idea but also using more picking within the nature intro chords but i finally got ol' lefty to learn a new trick, the verse.
oh yeah, thanks to all who posted their versions of the song(cave cricket +vocals). seems like everyday i learn a "more correct" way to play almost every dmb song and its lately been solely from you guys and your awesome abilities, thanks again.

I've been that way, too. I recently got Recently! No pun intended. Yeah, right now I just do some bar chords because my hand isn't big enough.

Lucky you...wish I could do that!

recently is a bass ass song. it was one of those songs that i saw the tab for and just thought yeah that'll never happen and then one day i finally gave it a shot and now its one of the songs i usually play whenever i sit down. i play the picking part after the main intro chords different from this site though. i slide A string 3/5 and then E,A and D 5,7,9 and then back to E and A with 7 and 9 and then i end it on A string 10. then i head down to the verse from there. i just like the moving of the hands and i'm sure dave has played it that way atleast once.[/code]
