u = upstroke
People have been asking me to post how to strum Warehouse. I know it's hard to teach strumming through the internet, but this pattern is relatively easy and repetitive.

muting?

im also trying to nail down the verse to warehouse, and was wondering if you folks had some advice:

- any tips on getting the strumming hand to keep up with the d-u-d-u-d-u-etc. pattern? its seems like i can keep the pattern for about two seconds, and then i just start throwing a barrage of downstrokes.

- does anyone notice on fulsom that dave mutes the low E with his thumb on the 7-9-10 and 7-9-10-9-7 parts? i tried it and found it to be very awkward. do you guys mute like this? any advice?

sorry if im kicking a dead horse or if the questions are too broad.

warehouse rules... i think the chorus is just beautiful, and its fun to watch my fingers crawl during the verse... top notch.

No, I don't use my thumb; I've done it before, but I don't usually. It's usually another finger that reaches over to mute it.

As for the strumming hand, it's all rhythm. Slow it down and you'll get it.

this is one of those songs where i think i'm finally getting it, and then i play with the cd, and nope. i'm nowhere close. i dont think im using the proper fingering, though.
